  1. 1. Energy Policy Instruments Perspectives on their Choice, Combination and Evaluation

    Författare :Kerstin Åstrand; Miljö- och energisystem; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; energy systems; policy instrument choice; socio-technical systems; policy instrument combination; Energiforskning; Energy research; Samhällsvetenskaper; Social sciences; Sweden.; evaluation; Environmental technology; pollution control; Miljöteknik; wind energy policy; green certificate trading scheme; market creation; wind power; Public policy instruments; wind turbine development; kontroll av utsläpp; renewable energy; energy policy;

    Sammanfattning : Abstract The thesis aims at providing a better understanding of public policy instruments used in policy-making within the energy sector, particularly regarding their role in the change towards an increased use of renewable energy sources for generation of electricity. The research was guided by an underlying assumption that a markedly higher proportion of the energy generated from renewable sources can be considerably enhanced by use of policy instruments that support the development and the market creation of new, renewable energy technologies. Sammanfattning : The aim of this doctoral dissertation is to explore and describe the relationship and interaction between musicians and their instruments. In order to achieve a high level of detail, a certain instrument is in focus: the simple-system flute. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Numerical Techniques for Acoustic Modelling and Design of Brass Wind Instruments

    Författare :Daniel Noreland; Bertil Gustafsson; Leif Abrahamsson; Björn Sjögreen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Acoustic horn; brass wind instrument; loudspeaker; optimization; hybrid method; Numerical Analysis; Numerisk analys;

    Sammanfattning : Acoustic horns are used in musical instruments and loudspeakers in order to provide an impedance match between an acoustic source and the surrounding air. The aim of this study is to develop numerical tools for the analysis and optimisation of such horns, with respect to their input impedance spectra. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Instrumentation for energetic Neutral atom measurements at Mars, Venus and The Earth

    Författare :Klas Brinkfeldt; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Energetic neutral atoms; instruments and techniques; mass spectrometry; microchannel plates; solid state detectors; solar wind interaction; planets; magnetosphere; exosphere; ring current; Space physics; Rymdfysik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the development and calibrations of sensors to measure energetic neutral atoms (ENAs) at Mars, Venus, and the Earth. ENAs are formed in charge exchange processes between energetic, singly--charged ions and a cold neutral gas. LÄS MER
