    Sammanfattning : The direct variable costs for heat and electricity production based on solid biomass fuel combustion is approximately 3-5 times lower than the costs in a fossil fuel-oil based boiler in Sweden. In addition waste derived biomass fuels are typically much cheaper than biomass not classified as waste. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Denna avhandling behandlar rökgasutsläpp av persistenta organiska föroreningar, framförallt dioxiner, vid förbränning av fasta biobränslen och torrt hushållsavfall i relativt små anläggningar (5-600 kW) utan avancerad rökgasreningsteknik.Samförbränning av avfall och biobränsle i effektiva mindre biobränslepannor testades som en alternativ strategi till den vanligen förekommande storskaliga hanteringen och förbränningen fast hushållsavfall.     Sammanfattning : Deposit induced corrosion is one of the main mechanisms for attack on heat exchangers in biofuel boilers. This severe corrosion decreases the obtainable steam temperature in boilers, thereby the efficiency in production of electricity is reduced.     Sammanfattning : The fireside corrosion in biomass and waste fired boilers is widely believed to arise from the presence of chlorine-containing compounds in the fuels. Although many researchers have studied the influence of such compounds on the high temperature corrosion of various steels, the mechanisms underlying chlorine-induced corrosion are still poorly understood.
