  1. 1. Macroscopic Volume and Free Volume of Polymer Blends and Pressure-densified Polymers

    Författare :Marcus Schmidt; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; free-volume theories; refractive index; Lorentz-Lorenz equation; loss tangent; Avrami equation; freezing fractions; copolymers; polymer blends; pressure dilatometry; Tait equation of state; free-volume distributions; pressure-densified polymers; entropy of melting; dynamic-mechanical analysis; positronium; positron annihilation; free volume; cavity size; polymers; bulk modulus; PVT; phase separation; compressibility; thermal expansivity;

    Sammanfattning : The macroscopic volume V as a function of pressure P and temperature T is obtained from PVT measurements. PVT data is sensitive to the state of polymers and changes therein. Moreover, PVT data gives access to the free-volume fraction. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Reportaget som kom av sig : en analys av reportaget som textform utifrån produktionsperspektivet och sändarrollen med betoning på reporterns personliga tonfall : en undersökning av reportaget i några landsortstidningar 1960-1985

    Författare :Lars J. Hultén; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Reportage is a generally accepted, yet poorly defined genre in Swedish newspaperterminology. It is usually associated with journalistic texts that are produced outside theroutines of daily news coverage; reportage features also have a more personal tone thanstandard news texts in that the reporter imparts his or her personal observations andperceptions of the scene in question. 3. 3. Numerical Simulation of Turbulent Flows for Turbine Blade Heat Transfer Applications

    Författare :Jonas Larsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; k-.omega.; k-.epsilon.; explicit Runge-Kutta; finite volume; turbine; numerical method; non-linear; Navier-Stokes; supersonic; two-equation; external heat transfer; stagnation flow; two-dimensional; transition; low-Reynolds; turbulence model; impulse blade;

    Sammanfattning : Turbine blade heat transfer is an important engineering problem characterized by complex flow fields and high turbulence levels. This thesis is focused on using a full Navier-Stokes solver with two-equation eddy-viscosity models to predict external heat-transfer in single-stage, linear, two-dimensional uncooled turbine cascades. 4. 4. Water diffusion and free volume in hydrophilic polymers

    Författare :Charlotte Trotzig; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Physical chemistry; free volume; self-diffusion; degree of crystallinity; glass transition temperature; tensile storage modulus; surface tension; isotherm; HPMC; PEO; water; triacetin; clay; Macromolecular chemistry; dynamic mechanical analysis; Fysikalisk kemi; differential scanning calorimetry; nuclear magnetic resonance; positron annihilation; Makromolekylär kemi;

    Sammanfattning : During moisture uptake in polymers, the diffusion of the water molecules is believed to occur via unoccupied voids. These voids are called free volume cavities and their sizes are continuously altered when the moisture content in the polymer is enhanced. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Large Eddy Simulation of the Flow around a High-Lift Airfoil

    Författare :Simon Dahlström; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; mildly separation; hybrid RANS LES; incompressible finite volume; airfoil; transition; large Eddy simulation; approximate wall boundary condition;

    Sammanfattning : The work presented in this thesis concerns the efforts of conducting a Large Eddy Simulation (LES) around an airfoil. The airfoil is close to stall, near maximum lift and the Reynolds number is high. In the flow a transitional separation bubble is present. LÄS MER
