    Sammanfattning : A challenge for the clinical management of Parkinson's disease (PD) is the large within- and between-patient variability in symptom profiles as well as the emergence of motor complications which represent a significant source of disability in patients. This thesis deals with the development and evaluation of methods and systems for supporting the management of PD by using repeated measures, consisting of subjective assessments of symptoms and objective assessments of motor function through fine motor tests (spirography and tapping), collected by means of a telemetry touch screen device. 2. 2. Learning visual perception for autonomous systems

    Författare :Gustav Häger; Michael Felsberg; Per-Erik Forssén; Fahad Shahbaz Khan; Roman Pflugfelder; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; computer vision; visual object tracking; tracking; machine learning; deep learning;

    Sammanfattning : In the last decade, developments in hardware, sensors and software have made it possible to create increasingly autonomous systems. These systems can be as simple as limited driver assistance software lane-following in cars, or limited collision warning systems for otherwise manually piloted drones. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Colour in Enclosed Space Observation of Colour Phenomena and Development of Methods for Identification of Colour Appearance in Rooms

    Författare :Monica Billger; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; identity colour; simultaneous contrast; illumination; reflections; colour; visual assessments; interiors; adaptation effects; full-scale studies; colour appearance;

    Sammanfattning : The main problems dealt with in this thesis are (1) how colours can appear in rooms due to various colour combinations and lighting conditions, and (2) how we can identify and compare colour appearance in rooms. One aim is to demonstrate and discuss the complex problem of how certain conditions in a room affect colour appearance, and to give examples and describe the co-operation between some of the affecting factors in experimental rooms. 4. 4. Leisure Activities in Rheumatoid Arthritis. Associated Factors and Assessment

    Författare :Ingegerd Wikström; Internmedicin - epidemiologi; []

    Sammanfattning : Leisure Activities in Rheumatoid Arthritis. Associated Factors and Assessment. Leisure activities were considered to give intrinsic pleasure, meaning and value to life already in ancient Greek. It was also performed for its own sake and not by consideration of any external rewards. LÄS MER

  5. 5. A New Model for Assessment of Change in Visual Function in Diabetes

    Författare :Karl-Johan Hellgren; Malmö Institutionen för kliniska vetenskaper; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; diabetic retinopathy; visual function; perimetry;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis was to determine whether perimetry using a new model to interpret deterioration or improvement in the visual field can be employed to assess change in visual function over time in diabetes. Diabetic retinopathy has long been considered a microvascular disease, but it is still a matter of debate to what extent diabetes also affects retinal neurons. LÄS MER
