This studio is an arena that in today’s society is associated with boundary crossing, dynamics and variability: An environment with high-tech equipment, a staff equipped with diverse skills, and a flexible approach with the ambition of developing innovative tools based on ICT to strengthen human creativity.     Sammanfattning : The increasing share of wind and photovoltaic (PV) power in the electricity generation mix pose challenges in power system management due to their non-dispatchable and intermittent nature. Co-locating wind and PV parks, forming utility-scale hybrid power parks (HPPs), means that the sources can share grid connection, land, permitting procedures as well as operation and maintenance work.     Sammanfattning : In 1988, at the beginning of the 'Urban Origins in Eastern Africa' research project, it was thought that no towns existed in Madagascar prior to the 17th century. This thesis shows that Madagascar did in fact support an urban population with a wide range of local and regional contacts from the end of the first millennium AD. LÄS MER
