  1. 1. Network on Chip : Performance Bound and Tightness

    Författare :Xueqian Zhao; Zhonghai Lu; José Flich Cardo; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Network-on-Chip; Performance analysis; Network Calculus; Informations- och kommunikationsteknik; Information and Communication Technology;

    Sammanfattning : Featured with good scalability, modularity and large bandwidth, Network-on-Chip (NoC) has been widely applied in manycore Chip Multiprocessor (CMP) and Multiprocessor System-on-Chip (MPSoC) architectures. The provision of guaranteed service emerges as an important NoC design problem due to the application requirements in Quality-of-Service (QoS). LÄS MER

  2. 2. Information-Theoretic Generalization Bounds: Tightness and Expressiveness

    Författare :Fredrik Hellström; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; information theory; neural networks; generalization; statistical learning; meta learning; PAC-Bayes; Machine learning;

    Sammanfattning : Machine learning has achieved impressive feats in numerous domains, largely driven by the emergence of deep neural networks. Due to the high complexity of these models, classical bounds on the generalization error---that is, the difference between training and test performance---fail to explain this success. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Achieving building energy performance : requirements and evaluation methods for residential buildings in Sweden, Norway, and Finland

    Författare :Ingrid Allard; Thomas Olofsson; Gireesh Nair; Ronny Östin; Osama Hassan; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; building codes; energy performance; evaluation methods; air tightness;

    Sammanfattning : Building energy performance has always been important in the cold climate of Sweden, Norway and Finland. To meet the goal that all new buildings should be nearly zero-energy buildings by 2020, set in the EU directive 2010/31/EU [1] on the energy performance of buildings (EPBD recast), the building sector in Europe now faces a transition towards buildings with improved energy performance. 4. 4. Surgical restoration of grasp control in tetraplegia

    Författare :Carina Reinholdt; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; tetraplegia; tendon transfers; alphabet procedure; spasticity; grip and release; electrogoniometry; distal intrinsic release; ECU-tenodesis; grip strength; intrisic tightness; pinch strength;

    Sammanfattning : Surgical Restoration of Grasp Control in Tetraplegia Carina Reinholdt Department of Orthopedics/Hand Surgery, Institute of Clinical Sciences, The Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg, Göteborg, Sweden ABSTRACT Aim: The overall aim of this thesis was to improve the grasp and release function of patients with tetraplegia undergoing reconstructive hand surgery. In order to reach this objective, new and more cost-efficient surgical concepts with maintained patient safety were designed. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Resource budgeting as a tool for reduced development cost for embedded real-time computer systems

    Författare :Mattias Wecksten; Högskolan i Halmstad; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Real-time systems; Embedded; Resource budgeting; Design tool; Tightness optimization; Guarantees;

    Sammanfattning : Wouldn’t it be great if there were a systematic method for derivation of non functional constraints available at design time that made it possible to verify design and make implementa tion a much clearer task? This kind of methods are needed since systems of increasing com plexity has to be developed, and the cost for failing has proven to bee too high. The problem is how to derive the design time constraints into implementation time constraints, maintaining the traceability for the individual constraints, and early on get indications whether a project is about to fail or not.
