  1. 1. Development of Nanoimprint Lithography for Applications in Electronics, Photonics and Life-sciences

    Författare :Patrick Carlberg; Fasta tillståndets fysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Mikroelektronik; Microelectronics; Teknik; ballistic; Technological sciences; Fysik; Physics; nanowire; TBJ; cantilever; IDA electrode; sensors; life-science; lift-off; patterning media; anti-sticking; mold; stamp; process development; thermal imprint; nanoimprint lithography; Biotechnology; Bioteknik; nanotechnology; polymer; nanostructure;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis describes different aspects of nanotechnology manufacturing with nanoimprint lithography (NIL), a relatively new nanofabrication tool capable of high resolution and high throughput. Surface structure creation with NIL is based on mechanical deformation of the patterning material. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Experimental and numerical investigations of underhood flow for vehicle thermal management

    Författare :Randi Franzke; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; CFD; MRF; Laser-Doppler anemometry; Underhood flow; Axial fan; Cooling flow; RBM; Vehicle thermal management; Simplified underhood environment;

    Sammanfattning : Electrified vehicles are an essential part in reducing emissions from the transportation sector. Their development comes with a variety of new challenges. Most of them revolve around the energy efficiency of the vehicles as it directly relates to the range that can be covered with one charge. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Integration and Packaging Concepts for Infrared Bolometer Arrays

    Författare :Adit Decharat; Göran Stemme; Sjoerd Haasl; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Fabrication; Bonding; packaging; microbolometer; Thermal imaging.; Other electrical engineering; electronics and photonics; Övrig elektroteknik; elektronik och fotonik;

    Sammanfattning :   Infrared (IR) imaging devices based on energy detection has shown a dramatic development in technology along with an impressive price reduction in recent years. However, for a low-end market as in automotive applications, the present cost of IR cameras is still the main obstacle to broadening their usage. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Influence of surface roughness on rolling contact fatigue considering thermal elastohydrodynamic lubrication effects : Due to Corona it is not possible to attend this defense in person, instead attend via this link: https://play.kth.se/media/0_omfsppe6

    Författare :Carl-Magnus Everitt; Bo Alfredsson; Andreas Almqvist; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Contact mechanics; Rolling contact fatigue; Pitting; Spalling; Slip; Thermal elastohydrodynamic.; Kontaktmekanik; Rullande kontaktutmattning; Pitting; Glidning; Termisk elastohydrodynamik.; Hållfasthetslära; Solid Mechanics;

    Sammanfattning : Rolling contacts are utilized in many technical applications, both in bearings and in the contacts between gear teeth. These components are subjected to high loads in many of their applications. The high loads causes very high contact pressures which may cause rolling contact fatigue, often denoted as pitting or spalling. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Microsystem Interfaces for Space

    Författare :Hugo Nguyen; Greger Thornell; Johan Köhler; Staffan Greek; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Engineering physics; microelectromechanical system; interface; microfluidics; nanosatellite; space; microsystems; filter; valve; MST; MEMS; Teknisk fysik;

    Sammanfattning : Microsystem interfaces to the macroscopic surroundings and within the microsystems themselves are formidable challenges that this thesis makes an effort to overcome, specifically for enabling a spacecraft based entirely on microsystems. The NanoSpace-1 nanospacecraft is a full-fledged satellite design with mass below 10 kg. LÄS MER
