1. Multivariate Networks : Visualization and Interaction Techniques
Sammanfattning : As more and more data is created each day, researchers from different science domains are trying to make sense of it. A lot of this data, for example our connections to friends on different social networking websites, can be modeled as graphs, where the nodes are actors and the edges are relationships between them. 2. Targeted Property-Based Testing with Applications in Sensor Networks
Sammanfattning : Testing is a fundamental part of modern software development, as it unveils bugs in the system under test and gives confidence in their correctness. Testing is often a laborious task as it typically requires to write by hand a plethora of test cases to test a system thoroughly. LÄS MER
3. Innovative policy networks : the relation between structure and performance
Sammanfattning : The central undertaking in this thesis is to explore the explanatory power of the concept of policy networks. The main question is whether there is a relation between the structural features of policy networks and their performance? Does network structure matter for network performance, and in that case, in what sense? In order to investigate the relationship between structure and performance, five implementation networks, engaged in inter-organizational collaboration with the task to create multidisciplinary units, at Luleå University of Technology (LTU), are studied. 4. Constraint Programming for Wireless Sensor Networks
Sammanfattning : In recent years, wireless sensor networks (WSNs) have grown rapidly and have had a substantial impact in many applications. A WSN is a network that consists of interconnected autonomous nodes that monitor physical and environmental conditions, such as temperature, humidity, pollution, etc. LÄS MER
5. Single frequency broadcasting networks
Sammanfattning : An Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) schemeallows all transmitters in a radio network to transmitidentical signals in the same frequency block, forming a socalled Single Frequency Network (SFN). By avoiding frequencyreuse, substantial improvements in bandwidth utilisation arepossible. LÄS MER
