  1. 1. Machinability Testing of Materials in Metal Cutting with Focus on Compacted Graphite Iron and Cutting Fluids

    Författare :Varun Nayyar; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; UTS.; Boring; Drilling; Cutting Fluid; Turning; Milling; Force; Wear; Force; Torque; Compressed air; CGI; Hardness; Tool Life; Material Properties; Chip Microstructure; Tapping;

    Sammanfattning : Due to the stringent demands for lower emission from trucks require better mechanical properties of the material to be used in the engines. Better efficiency necessitates higher peak pressure in the engines and for traditionally used material, Flake Graphite Iron (FGI), the mechanical properties starts to reach the limit of what the material can withstand. 2. 2. Performance Testing of Cutting Fluids and Tool Holders in Metal Cutting

    Författare :Varun Nayyar; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Chip Microstructure; Torque; Drilling; Compressed air; Turning; Tool-holding; Force.; Tapping; Keyword: Cutting Fluid;

    Sammanfattning : ABSTRACTThe metal cutting industry has evolved over the last century to the point where an increasing range and complexity of tool holding systems and cutting fluids are available for metal machining in the market. Most of the companies report their cutting fluid cost to be between 7 -17 % of the manufacturing cost. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Decision Support for Treatment of Patients with Advanced Parkinson’s Disease

    Författare :Jerker Westin; Torgny Groth; Mark Dougherty; Sven Pålhagen; Marja-Liisa Dahl; Martin Rydmark; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Parkinson’s disease; telemedicine; motor test; tapping; spiral; self-assessment; home-assessment; outcome measure; electronic diary; patient-reported outcome; remote patient monitoring; levodopa; infusion; pharmacokinetic; pharmacodynamic; Medical informatics; Medicinsk informatik; Medical Informatics; Medicinsk informatik; E-MOTIONS; Beslutsstöd för Parkinsonbehandling;

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis was to develop, deploy and evaluate new IT-based methods for supporting treatment and assessment of treatment of advanced Parkinson’s disease. In this condition a number of different motor and non-motor symptoms occur in episodes of varying frequency, duration and severity. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Fine motor timing ability - A study of syllable repetition and finger tapping in adults with developmental stuttering or Parkinson's disease compared with healthy adults

    Författare :Maria Sundqvist; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; motor timing; synchronization; finger tapping; syllable repetition; Developmental stuttering; Parkinson s disease;

    Sammanfattning : Aim and methods: The overall aim of this thesis was to explore the fine motor timing ability as manifested by speech motor and fine hand motor activity in persons with developmental stuttering or Parkinson’s disease, and in healthy adults. A test method for systematic comparison between speech motor timing and fine hand motor control was developed. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Brain reactivity in leading and following, and the SSP in Japanese : A minimal model of rhythm tapping for leading and following showing temporal and insular reactivity, and a Swedish to Japanese translation of an inventory to assess personality factors for leaders and followers

    Författare :Lykke Silfwerbrand; Malin Gingnell; Lisa Ekselius; Yasuharu Koike; Pär Nyström; Stina Bergman Blix; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Leading; Following; fMRI; finger tapping; Swedish Universities Scales of Personality; SSP; SSPJ-11; reliability; cross-cultural translation;

    Sammanfattning : To understand more about the neural underpinnings for leading and following is the driving force behind this thesis. To do so, there is a need to study leading and following on a basic level. LÄS MER
