  1. 1. Solar Shading for Low Energy Use and Daylight Quality in Offices: Simulations, Measurements and Design Tools

    Författare :Marie-Claude Dubois; Avdelningen för Energi och byggnadsdesign; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Byggnadsteknik; Building construction; screens; venetian blinds; awnings; design tools; measurements; computer simulations; solar-protective glass; heating; cooling; visual comfort; daylighting; energy use; Shading devices; solar protection; Architecture; interior design; Arkitektur; inredningsarkitektur; Energy research; Energiforskning;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates the impact of solar shading devices on energy use and daylight quality in office rooms. The impact on energy use is analysed through computer simulations with the dynamic energy simulation program Derob-LTH while the impact on daylight quality is investigated through measurements in full-scale experimental office rooms and simulations with the program Radiance. 3. 3. Solar Assisted Pervaporation : A process for the concentration of fruit juices in membrane pouches with solar energy

    Författare :Randi Phinney; Avdelningen för livsmedel och läkemedel; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; pervaporation; solar drying; membrane pouch; juice concentration; fruit preservation; marmalade; tangerine; Vangueria infausta; microbiology; water activity; soluble solids; Brix;

    Sammanfattning : Drying has been used for thousands of years to preserve foods. One of the first methods used was open air sun drying which exposes foods directly to solar radiation and ambient air. This method is still used today around the world but it remains underdeveloped on a small-scale for two main reasons. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Materials and interfaces for sustainable organic solar cells

    Författare :Qilun Zhang; Mats Fahlman; Xianjie Liu; Ronald Österbacka; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Organic Solar Cell; Interfaces; Photoelectron Spectroscopy; Natural based materials; Sustainable;

    Sammanfattning : Photovoltaics, the apparatus utilizing green solar power to generate electricity, is one of the efficient measures to the continuously increasing energy demand and exacerbated carbon emission of the human civilization. As a candidate with the potential of providing the cheapest and greenest form of electricity, organic solar cells (OSCs) received tremendous scientific interest, resulting in a significant power conversion efficiency (PCE) boosting to above 19% recently.
