  1. 1. Characterization of elastic moduli of single fibres

    Författare :Shanghong Duan; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; AFM; Nanoindentation; Shear modulus; Transverse modulus; Carbon fibre;

    Sammanfattning : The carbon fibre is one of most promising materials for high-performance composites since it is lightweight and strong. It has been widely used to build carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP) composites. The carbon fibre dramatically reinforces the composite in the fibre direction. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Cohesive modelling of the temperature dependence of epoxy based adhesives in Mode I and Mode II loading

    Författare :Tomas Walander; Ulf Stigh; Anders Biel; Erik Serrano; Högskolan i Skövde; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Cohesive laws; Epoxy adhesive; Fracture energy; Peak stress; Temperature; Regression analyses; Shear modulus; Young’s modulus.; Technology; Teknik;

    Sammanfattning : In this work, the influence of the temperature on the cohesive laws for two epoxy adhesives is studied at temperatures below the glass transition temperature for both Mode I and Mode II loading. Cohesive laws are measured experimentally under quasi-static loading conditions in the temperature range -30≤T≤80"C" . LÄS MER

  3. 3. In-Plane Shear Modulus of Cross-Laminated Timber

    Författare :Jonas Sharifi; Sven Berg; Dick Sandberg; Mats Ekevad; Reinhard Brandner; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Träteknik; Wood Science and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Cross-laminated timber (CLT) is a building component used in walls, floors, roofs, or beams in a building. The advantages of using CLT as a building component are, among others, its high load-carrying capability and the possibility of pre-fabrication. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Sample preparation effect on measured rheological properties of bitumen using Dynamic Shear Rheometer

    Författare :Maya Sheidaei; Trafik och väg; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Bitumen rheology; dynamic shear rheometer; complex modulus;

    Sammanfattning : Through improved bitumen characterization, which will increase the road'sdurability, stability, and performance, pavement engineering can apply thesustainability notion that should be followed in all disciplines nowadays. The newtechniques distinguish between the rheological properties of bituminous binders as a function of loading time and temperature to depict real-world behavior rather than only considering empirical properties. 5. 5. Application of the SASW-technique in geotechnical in-situ testing

    Författare :Mats Svensson; Institutioner vid LTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; teknisk geologi; Hydrogeologi; Spectral Analysis of Surface Waves; shear modulus; SASW; multichannel; inversion; Gmax; teknisk geografi; Environmental technology; pollution control; Miljöteknik; kontroll av utsläpp; geographical and geological engineering; Hydrogeology; Civil engineering; hydraulic engineering; offshore technology; soil mechanics; Väg- och vattenbyggnadsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : With the main aim to test the applicability of the surface wave seismic technique Spectral Analysis of Surface Waves (SASW), used for determination of the shear stiffness (shear modulus - Gmax), four areas of applications have been studied. The four areas have been sites with natural geological conditions, sites where non destructive testing is necessary, pavement testing and multichannel testing. LÄS MER
