    Sammanfattning : This thesis poses the question ‘What is the critique of democracy in Plato’s Republic?’ It is not the first to do so. But contrary to standard readings, this thesis does not assume neither epistemological nor elitist explanations. Rather, it sees the Kallipolis, ‘the beautiful city in words’ as predicated on a particular anthropology. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This dissertation investigates the cognitive and moral psychology of Juan Luis Vives (1493-1540), paying close attention to the background out of which his views developed.     Sammanfattning : This thesis is an empirical and theoretical exploration of the surprising finding that people often may fail to notice dramatic mismatches between what they want and what they get, a phenomenon my collaborators and I have named choice blindness.
