11. Psychosomatic aspects on diabetes and chronic pain Alexithymia, depression and salivary cortisol The Affect School and Script Analysis Therapy
Sammanfattning : This thesis explores links between psyche and soma in diabetes and in chronic benign pain (CBP). Interventions with Affect School and Script Analysis (ASSA) compared to Basic Body Awareness Therapy (BBAT) are tried. In a feasibility and treatment efficacy study we offered ASSA to 59 patients with CBP, and 54 (92%) completed. LÄS MER

Sammanfattning : Life expectancy after 65 years of age has increased markedly during the last decades, and is still increasing. The purpose of this thesis was to describe differences in dental health between 70- year-olds born in different years, to describe caries prevalence, incidence over a 6-year period in one cohort, and try to find risk factors for dental caries. Sammanfattning : During embryogenesis organs are formed from epithelial and mesenchymal tissues. Organogenesis is dependent on interactions between epithelium and mesenchyme. 15. Psychosocial and stress-related aspects on ischemic heart disease
Sammanfattning : Objective: To study different aspects of ischemic heart disease (IHD) i.e. stress related risk factors, biochemical markers of stress, in particular the cortisol awakening response (CAR) and outcome in terms of health related quality of life (HRQoL).
