  1. 1. Migration strategies of raptors – spatio-temporal adaptations and constraints in travelling and foraging

    Författare :Roine Strandberg; Biologiska institutionen; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; route convergence; loop migration; mortality; spatio-temporal distribution patterns; pre- and post-migratory movements; daily travel routines; satellite tracking; fly-and-forage migration; raptors;

    Sammanfattning : My dissertation is about bird migration and addresses questions about how raptors adapt to the fluctuating environments during the transition seasons between breeding and wintering. The migration is highly affected by local prey abundance, foraging strategies, weather conditions and landscape patterns along the migration routes as well as navigation and orientation mechanisms and cues. 2. 2. Essays on trade, growth and applied econometrics

    Författare :Patrik Gustavsson Tingvall; Handelshögskolan i Stockholm; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : This dissertation consists of five essays. Three of these study countries’ specialisation patterns combining the two classical paradigms of trade theory, namely the Ricardian (technology) and the HeckscherOhlin (factor endowments) framework. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Incorporation of Departure Time Choice in a Mesoscopic Transportation Model for Stockholm

    Författare :Ida Kristoffersson; Leonid Engelson; Jan Lundgren; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Transport Modelling; Departure Time Choice; Dynamic Traffic Simulation; Time-Varying Congestion Charges; Peak Spreading; Reverse Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Travel demand management policies such as congestion charges encourage car-users to change among other things route, mode and departure time. Departure time may be especially affected by time-varying charges, since car-users can avoid high peak hour charges by travelling earlier or later, so called peak spreading effects. LÄS MER
