  1. 6. A New Model for Room Acoustic Prediction and Auralization

    Författare :Bengt-Inge Dalenbäck; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; diffuse reflection; cone-tracing; virtual reality; room acoustic prediction; binaural simulation; room acoustics; Ambisonic; auralization;

    Sammanfattning : The development of two room acoustic prediction models and auralization methods are described. The first prediction model is a combination of two well known algorithms with some extensions; the image source model and ray-tracing. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Room Acoustic Ray-Tracing : Understanding, evaluating and expanding the toolset

    Författare :Hanna Autio; Byggnadsmekanik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Room acoustics; acoustic ray tracing; Room acoustic simulation; virtual reality; acoustic scattering;

    Sammanfattning : Room acoustic simulations are an important tool, both for design of spaces with satisfactory acoustics and for use in virtual reality experiences. Auralization of acoustic simulations are becoming more and more important in the context of Virtual and Augmented reality (VR and AR respectively), as the technology is used more and more in healthcare, culture and research. 3. 8. Time Domain Boundary Element Methods for Acoustic Scattering

    Författare :Georgios Natsiopoulos; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; time domain; curved surface; room acoustics; boss model; boundary element method; regularization; transient; Hermite interpolation; hypersingular; acoustic scattering; vector potential;

    Sammanfattning : In room acoustics, numerical computation of scattering phenomena is an important subject, since it is needed to accurately predict the influence of reflectors, the audience, balconies, etc, on the perceived acoustic quality of auditoria. The large physical volumes of auditoria and the wide frequency content of music and speech, together with the complicated geometries involved however, makes predictions in room acoustics a challenging task from a computational point of view. 4. 9. Structural-acoustic analysis of wall-to-floor joints in timber-framed housing

    Författare :Åsa Bolmsvik; Torbjörn Ekevid; Göran Sandberg; Växjö universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Acoustics; Akustik; Building engineering; Byggnadsteknik; Byggteknik; Civil engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Even though a building meets the regulations with respect to impact sound, structures with wooden frames may receive complaints from the inhabitants due to structure-borne sound in the lower frequencies. In this thesis measuring methods that are more precise than the traditional measuring methods have been used to see if they could give a better knowledge about flanking transmission in the low frequencies in timber-framed structures. 5. 10. The use of Textiles in an Acoustic Context

    Författare :Karl Tillberg; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; porous absorbers; knitted fabric; woven fabric; helmholtz absorbers; room acoustics; nonwoven material; classroom; acoustic textiles; resonance absorbers; panel absorbers;

    Sammanfattning : Working with textiles in an acoustic context gives enormous possibilities to combine the acoustic function of materials with the visual function (aesthetics). Depending on the material choice and the production techniques, textiles may for instance be flexible, stiff, airtight, have high density or high porosity. LÄS MER
