My research focuses on Dag Hammarskjöld’s negotiations with himself and with God; his ultimate concern for self-knowledge and authentic existence, world-view, interpretation of reality, ethical praxis for human rights and a diplomacy of reconciliation.     Sammanfattning : As a phenomenon, awe is not reducible to any combination of distinct elements such as wonder, fear or reverence, but combines all of these together with surprise or even anguish. The metaphors with which awe can be described therefore never fully define what it feels like to be affected by awe: awe is motion, elevation, lightness, and flight. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The dissertation demonstrates how it is possible to apply the French philosopher Paul Ricoeur's hermeneutics to a musical work-of-art and illustrates the approach with an interpretation of Schubert's Great C-major Symphony (D 944). Arguments are put forward to show that the meaning of a musical work-of-art can be naively grasped under favourable communicative conditions. LÄS MER
