    Sammanfattning : At the centre of this study lies the question of how research-related media texts contribute to the social construction of sex and gender conceptions when they use research, either as a main source, or to support or comment on specific issues and statements, from the political arena, for example. The principal aim of the study has been to analyze and problematize the ways in which different types of newspapers, genres and editorial sections reproduce, or contribute to change, in existing gender discourses.     Sammanfattning : Factual storytelling that relies on the participation of real-life people must navigate between obligations towards the participant and the story. By placing the relationship between storyteller and subject at the centre, this thesis offers an interdisciplinary examination of ethical and moral issues in the context of turning other people’s experiences into mediated narrative.     Sammanfattning : In Sweden, as in many other countries in the Western world, care and support to people with mental illness have undergone major organizational changes. The aim of the thesis is to describe and analyse the image of the psychiatric field that Swedish newscast gives from a long-term period of view and in the perspective of the great changes that have occurred in the psychiatric field.
