  1. 1. Gut bacteria, regulatory T cells and allergic sensitization in early childhood

    Författare :Hardis Rabe; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Gastrointestinal system; Allergy and immunology in infancy childhood: periodicals; T-Lymphocytes; Regulatory; Regulatory T cells; T cell development; bacterial colonization of the gut; allergy; allergic sensitization; cohort study; children;

  2. 2. T-cell responses to Helicobacter pylori in humans and a possible role of regulatory T cells

    Författare :Anna Lundgren; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Helicobacter pylori; mucosal immunology; stomach; duodenum; asymptomatic; duodenal ulcer; gastric adenocarcinoma; T cells; regulatory T cells; dendritic cells; T-cell recruitment;

    Sammanfattning : Helicobacter pylori colonize the stomach and areas of gastric metaplasia in the duodenum. The bacteria induce both local and systemic immune responses, but despite this, the infection normally persists for life and causes chronic gastritis in all infected subjects and peptic ulcers or gastric cancer in 10-20% of infected individuals. 3. 3. T Regulatory Cells – Friends or Foes?

    Författare :Camilla Lindqvist; Angelica Loskog; Thomas Tötterman; Vivianne Malmström; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Treg; T regulatory cell; FoxP3; CD25; CLL; B-cell lymphoma; Clinical immunology; Klinisk immunologi; Klinisk immunologi; Clinical Immunology;

    Sammanfattning : T regulatory cells (Tregs) have been extensively studied in patients with cancer or autoimmunity. These cells hamper the immune system’s ability to clear tumor cells in cancer patients. In autoimmune diseases, on the other hand, they are not able to restrain autoreactive immune responses. 4. 4. Regulatory T cells and mucosal-associated invariant T cells in colon adenocarcinomas; Phenotype and function

    Författare :Filip Ahlmanner; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; colon cancer; regulatory T cells; CD39; adenosine; immune checkpoint molecules; immunosuppression; MAIT cells; cytokines; cancer-specific survival;

    Sammanfattning : In many solid cancers, and also in colon adenocarcinomas, an increased accumulation of lymphocytes is beneficial for the patient. However, tumor-infiltrating immune cells may be either pro- or anti-tumorigenic and the balance between these two counteracting forces partly determines patient outcome. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Pinpointing biomarkers of importance for children with combined type 1 diabetes and celiac disease

    Författare :Andrea Tompa; Maria Faresjö; Karin Åkesson; Mikael Karlsson; Jönköping University; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Type 1 diabetes; celiac disease; children; biomarkers; immune markers; flow cytometry; cryopreservation; T cells; T-regulatory cells; B cells; B-regulatory cells; cytokines; chemokines; acute phase proteins; adipocytokines; matrix metalloproteinases;

    Sammanfattning : Type 1 diabetes (T1D) and celiac disease are both characterized by an autoimmune feature. The diseases also share the same risk genes, and thereby patients have an increased risk of developing the other disease subsequently. LÄS MER
