1. Corrosion of steel in concrete at various moisture and chloride levels
Sammanfattning : About 7000 concrete bridges in Sweden were built before 1965. The annual cost for maintenance of these bridges is about 0.6% of their total value. The cooling water tunnels at Swedish nuclear power plants have been exposed to seawater for about 30-40 years. LÄS MER
2. Effect of tension softening on the performance of concrete structures : experimental, analytical and computational studies
Sammanfattning : The tensile characteristics of concrete are usually neglected in the design of structures. The treatise discusses the important bearing these very characteristics have on the performance of different concrete structures. The investigations are supported by experiments, theoretical models and simulations by finite element methods. LÄS MER
3. Buildability of concrete structures : processes, methods and material
Sammanfattning : The causes for the slow development of the construction industry is often attributed the traditional ”peculiarities of construction“, including such factors as one-of-a-kind products, temporary organisation, and on-site production. However, signs of new thinking are becoming apparent in the construction industry in Sweden that emphasise change. LÄS MER
4. Corrosion of steel bars in fibre reinforced concrete: corrosion mechanisms and structural performance
Sammanfattning : The viability of employing fibre reinforcement to improve the durability performance of RC structures by delaying and/or reducing rebar corrosion and by mitigating the structural impact of corrosion-induced damage have been investigated. Given the enhanced crack control of FRC, it could be advantageous to use fibres in civil engineering structures to decrease the ingress of corrosion-initiation substances. LÄS MER
5. Industrial bridge construction with cast in place concrete : new production methods and lean construction philosophies
Sammanfattning : The construction industry is associated with high costs, low productivity, a lack of quality and low profit margins. Too often the actual cost for a project exceeds the expected cost. LÄS MER
