  1. 1. Exploring Devices for Molecular Solar Thermal Energy Storage Systems

    Författare :Zhihang Wang; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Solar energy; photochromic molecule; dihydroazulene vinylheptafulvene photoswitches; energy conversion; norbornadiene quadricyclane photoswitches; energy storage;

    Sammanfattning : The sun is considered to be one of the most abundant and renewable sources of energy. During recent last decades, technologies for solar energy capture and storage have been significantly investigated. An attractive way to store solar light, is to use photochromic molecules that can capture and store solar energy in chemical bonds. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Aspects of oral implant technology and osseointegration

    Författare :Rainde Naiara Rezende de Jesus; Malmö universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; biomaterials; oral implants; surface topography; surface roughness; surface energy; surface wettability; hydrophilicity; macrogeometry; implant body; thread design; surgical protocol; oversized drilling; osseointegration; bone-to-implant contact; bone density; primary implant stability; insertion torque; removal torque; removal energy; connection stiffness; osteoclasts; RAW264.7 cells; gene expression;

    Sammanfattning : Behandling med käkbensförankrade tandimplantat är en vanlig metod för att ersätta förlorade tänder hos helt och partiellt tandlösa patienter. Trots att implantatbehandling uppvisar en långsiktigt hög lyckande- och överlevnadsfrekvens (90–95% efter 10 år) så förekommer implantatförluster och marginal benförlust kring implantaten under det första året efter insättning och/eller belastning, vilket kan försämra det estetiska resultatet. 3. 3. Fuel Cells and Biogas

    Författare :Lars Hedström; Per Alvfors; Peter Lund; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; air bleed; biogas; carbon dioxide; carbon monoxide; current distribution; dilution; efficiency; energy conversion; energy systems; experimental; fuel cell; fuel cell systems; PEFC; poisoning; reformate; SOFC; Chemical energy engineering; Kemisk energiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis concerns biogas-operated fuel cells. Fuel cell technology may contribute to more efficient energy use, reduce emissions and also perhaps revolutionize current energy systems. The technology is, however, still immature and has not yet been implemented as dominant in any application or niche market. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Precision cooling for C02 reduction

    Författare :Sudharsan Vasudevan; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; semi- mechanistic models; internal combustion engine; coolant jacket; active nucleation site density; boiling regimes; subcooled flow boiling;

    Sammanfattning : Global climate is adversely affected by increasing emissions of carbon dioxide and other green-house gases. The road transport sector contributes significantly to these emissions. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Hydrogen Production by Integration of Fluidized Bed Heat Exchanger in Steam Reforming of Natural Gas

    Författare :Viktor Stenberg; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; BECCS; Steam reforming; CCS; Hydrogen; fluidized bed heat exchanger; Oxygen carrier aided combustion; chemical-looping combustion;

    Sammanfattning : The possibility to integrate fluidized beds as heat sources for steam reforming in hydrogen production plants is examined in this work. Sites with large-scale production and consumption of hydrogen such as refineries are considered as especially interesting. LÄS MER
