    Sammanfattning : A 700bp portion of the promoter of CYP2D25, the porcine microsomal vitamin D 25-hydroxylase was isolated and sequenced. The computer analysis of the sequence revealed the existence of a putative VDRE at 220 bp upstream of the transcription start site. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Acute intermittent porphyria (AIP) is a rare inborn metabolic error of heme synthesis in which the activity of the third enzyme, porphobilinogen deaminase (PBGD), is deficient.     Sammanfattning : A cytochrome P450 enzyme in pig kidney that catalyzes the hydroxylations of vitamin D3 and C27-sterols was cloned. DNA sequence analysis of the cDNA revealed that the enzyme belongs to the CYP27 family. The recombinant kidney CYP27A enzyme catalyzed the 25-hydroxylation of vitamin D3 and the 27-oxygenation of C27-sterols. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The cytochrome P-450 enzyme system in the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster, was shown to be inducible, to consist of several isozymes and to have the capacity to metabolize a variety of substrates, thus resembling the corresponding mammalian system. These similarities strengthens the value of Drosophila test systems for the detection of indirect carcinogens and mutagens. LÄS MER
