1. Studies on Oxidative Couplings in H-Phosphonate Chemistry
Sammanfattning : In this thesis oxidative coupling of H-phosphonate and H phosphonothioate diesters with different alcohols and amines are presented. Since the reactions with alcohols previously have been particularly unfavourable due to competing side reactions, a modified protocol leading to high coupling yields of structurally diverse hydroxylic components was developed. 2. Palladium(II)-Catalyzed Coupling Reactions
Sammanfattning : Sustainable chemical processes are becoming increasingly important in all fields of synthetic chemistry. Catalysis can play an important role in developing environmentally benign chemical processes, and transition metals have an important role to play in the area of green chemistry. LÄS MER
3. Compounds with Non-Buttressed Metal-Metal Bond between Platinum and Thallium. Model Systems for Photoinduced Two-Electron-Transfer
Sammanfattning : A new family of oligonuclear cyano compounds incorporatingtransition (Pt) and main group (Tl) metals bound with anon-buttressed Pt-Tl bond was synthesised in aqueous solution. The metal-metal linkage is formed in the reaction betweenplatinum and thallium in their stable oxidation forms, Pt(II)and Tl(III), orvice versa: Pt(IV) and Tl(I). 4. degradable electroactive polymers: Synthesis, Macromolecular architecture and scaffold design
Sammanfattning : Electrically conducting polymers induce specific cellular responses at the molecular level. One of the crucial limitations of the use of conducting polymers in tissue engineering is their inability to degrade. LÄS MER
5. Iron catalyzed C-C coupling reactions - mechanistic investigations
Sammanfattning : The mechanism of the iron catalyzed cross coupling of aryl electrophiles with alkyl Grignard reagents was studied. The reaction proceeds via a rate-limiting oxidative addition of the aryl halide to an Fe(I) complex generated in situ. A transmetalation from an aryl Grignard reagent occurs either before or after the oxidative addition. LÄS MER
