    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Neutrino mass; lepton mixing; Majorana neutrinos; neutrino oscillations; neutrinoless double beta decay; statistical methods; Bayesian inference; model selection; effective field theory; Weinberg operator; seesaw models; inverse seesaw; right-handed neutrinos; renormalization group; threshold effects.; Neutrinomassor; leptonblandning; Majorananeutriner; neutrinooscillationer; neutrinol¨ost dubbelt betas¨onderfall; statistiska metoder; Bayesisk inferens; modellval; effektiv f¨altteori; Weinbergoperator; seesawmodeller; invers seesaw; högerhänta neutriner; renormeringsgrupp; tröskeleffekter.;

    Sammanfattning : The standard model of particle physics can excellently describe the vast majorityof data of particle physics experiments. However, in its simplest form, it cannot account for the fact that the neutrinos are massive particles and lepton flavorsmixed, as required by the observation of neutrino oscillations. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Water and Heat Transport in Road Structures : Development of Mechanistic Models

    Författare :Klas Hansson; Lars-Christer Lundin; Kurt Roth; Uppsala universitet; []

  4. 4. Numerical experiments - a research method in fire science

    Författare :Nils Johansson; Avdelningen för Brandteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; experimental uncertainty; accuracy; fire dynamics; compartment fires; models; experiments; Numerical experiments;

    Sammanfattning : Fires are complex and it is hard to derive relationships from theory in fire science. Full-scale and small-scale experiments have been used with great success in order to increase the understanding of fire chemistry and fire dynamics. But, there are shortcomings and difficulties with conducting these traditional fire experiments. LÄS MER

    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Multiple interacting jets; round jets; confluent jets; wall jet; ventilation strategy; air distribution system; air supply device; ventilation performance; thermal comfort; energy-saving potential; measurement; numerical predictions; RANS turbulence models; renormalization group RNG k– ε ; realizable Re k– ε ; and shear stress transport SST k– ω ;

    Sammanfattning : This study presents air distribution systems that are based on confluent jets; this system can be of interest for the establishment of indoor environments, to fulfill the goals of indoor climate and energy-efficient usage. The main objective of this study is to provide deeper understanding of the flow field development of a supply device that is designed based on wall confluent jets and to investigate the ventilation performance by experimental and numerical methods.
