  1. 6. Investigation into sustainable energy systems in Nordic municipalities

    Författare :Robert Fischer; Andrea Toffolo; Erik Elfgren; Danica Djuric Ilic; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Renewable energy sources; Nordic municipalities; municipal energy system; electrified transport; biofuels; multi-objective optimization; EnergyPLAN; Energiteknik; Energy Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Municipal energy systems in Nordic environments face multiple challenges: the cold climate, large-scale industries, a high share of electric heating and long distances drive energy consumption. While actions on the demand side minimize energy use, decarbonization efforts in mining, industries, the heating and the transport sector can increase the consumption of electricity and biofuels. 2. 7. Increasing the hosting capacity of distributed energy resources using storage and communication

    Författare :Nicholas Etherden; Sami Repo; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Renewable Energy Generation; Energy Storage; Hosting Capacity; Curtailment; Demand Response; Dynamic Line Rating; Power System Communication; Smart Grid; Förnyelsebara energikällor; Energilagring; Acceptansgräns; Kommunikation i kraftsystem; Smarta elnät; Energy Engineering; Energiteknik; Electric Power Engineering; Elkraftteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The use of electricity from Distributed Energy Resources like wind and solar powerwill impact the performance of the electricity network and this sets a limit to theamount of such renewables that can be connected. Investment in energy storage andcommunication technologies enables more renewables by operating the networkcloser to its limits. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Från el till värme : en diskursanalytisk policystudie av energiomställning på statlig, kommunal och hushållsnivå

    Författare :Karin Perman; Ingemar Elander; Agneta Blom; Charlotte Fridolfsson; Annette Henning; Marianne Ryghaug; Örebro universitet; []

En diskursanalytisk policystudie av energiomställning på statlig; kommunal och hushållsnivå.;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to analyse how space heating for single-family houses, and energy system conversion has been constructed and discussed at national, municipal and household levels. Political documents have been studied, and interviews have been carried out with politicians, civil servants and householders in the municipality of Falun. LÄS MER

  4. 9. The long-term nuclear explosives predicament : final disposal of military usable fissile material in nuclear waste from nuclear power and from the elimination of nuclear weapons

  5. 10. Nuclear Power as a Climate Change Mitigation Option: a Modelling Approach

    Författare :Mariliis Lehtveer; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; CCS; sensitivity analysis; nuclear weapons proliferation; energy system model; nuclear power; climate change;

    Sammanfattning : Although nuclear power can provide electricity with very low life cycle carbon emissions and thus reduce the cost of climate change mitigation, it also brings along many specific challenges: accident risk, need for radioactive waste management and nuclear weapons proliferation risk. Due to this controversial nature nuclear power, among other energy forms, has been relatively little studied in a climate mitigation context. LÄS MER
