1. The Prognostic Impact of Proliferation Markers in Breast Cancer with Emphasis on Cyclin B1 and PPH3
Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis was to investigate the prognostic role of the proliferation markers cyclin B1 and Phosphorylated Histone 3 (PPH3) in breast cancer (BC).In paper I we used an experimental study design, we compared women dying early from their BC with women free from relapse more than eight years after initial diagnosis. 2. The Prognostic and Treatment Predictive Value of Proliferation and TIMP-1 in Breast Cancer
Sammanfattning : Breast cancer is the most common tumour form and the second leading cause of death in solid tumours in women in the Western world. Despite improvements in the treatment, a considerable number of patients will relapse and die from their breast cancer. LÄS MER

4. Methods for selection and optimisation of radiotherapy and early therapy evaluation in breast cancer
Sammanfattning : Adjuvant systemic therapy for breast cancer, the most common malignancy in females, increases survival and this has recently also been demonstrated for postoperative radiotherapy. The aims of this study were to develop an optimised radiotherapeutic technique for postoperative treatment, to analyse the association between p53 status in node-negative patients and radiotherapy, to investigate the incidence of in-breast relapses after conservative surgery and radiotherapy and to determine if positron emissiontomography could be useful for early evaluation of polychemotherapy. 5. Breast cancer. Quality Assurance and Prognosis
Sammanfattning : Abstract Background. The Swedish national cancer strategy programme published in 2009 emphasises the patient perspective and focuses on the patient process.
