1. World oil supply in the 21st century : A bottom-up perspective
Sammanfattning : Oil-fuelled progress was a defining feature of the 20th century, and still today, oil remains the world’s largest primary energy source. Yet, oil is a non-renewable and carbon-intensive resource, either depletion or resulting carbon emissions will ultimately limit its use. LÄS MER
2. World oil supply and unconventional resources : Bottom-up perspectives on tight oil production
Sammanfattning : Oil is the world’s largest primary energy source. It dominates the transportation sector which underpins the world economy. Yet, oil is a nonrenewable resource, destined not to last forever. In the mid-2000s global conventional oil production stagnated, leading to rising oil prices and fears of permanent oil scarcity. 3. Particle Emissions from Ships
Sammanfattning : Since 1st of January 2015 ships operating in sulphur emission control areas (SECAs) have to use marine fuels with a fuel sulphur content less than 0.1 %m/m. This regulation forces the ship owners to make a fuel shift and use low-sulphur marine fuel oils, use alternative fuels or use scrubbers on-board their ships. LÄS MER
4. Evaluating effects of low concentrations of oil in marine benthic communities
Sammanfattning : Large anthropogenic discharges of oil annually enter the marine environment, in the magnitude from large scale discharges to minor leakage, caused by ship collision accidents or seepage from urban areas. Possible detrimental environmental effects from these discharges differ, from acute lethal to chronic sub-lethal. LÄS MER
5. Natural products from Bolivian plants and other sources
Sammanfattning : The present research was focused on the phytochemical research of Bolivian plants; a) two medicinal ones Aniba canelilla and Iryanthera juruensis, both plants showed to have compounds with biological activity in different fields. Even though Aniba canelilla was studied before, new compounds were identified in this investigation. LÄS MER
