1. Thermal Stability of Electrodeposited Nanocrystalline Ni- and Co-Based Materials
Sammanfattning : The attractive properties associated with nanocrystalline materials are to a large extent a result of their high intercrystalline volume fraction. However, the intrinsic instability of the nanostructured state may compromise the gain in properties by the occurrence of grain growth during exposure at elevated temperatures. LÄS MER
2. Synthesis and Characterization of High Entropy Alloy and Coating
Sammanfattning : High entropy alloys (HEAs) are a new class of alloys that contains five or more principal elements in equiatomic or near-equiatomic proportional ratio. The configuration entropy in the HEAs tends to stabilize the solid solution formation, such as body-centered-cubic (BCC), face-centered-cubic (FCC) and/or hexagonal-closed-pack (HCP) solid solution. 3. Electrical Transport in Nanoparticle Thin Films of Gold and Indium Tin Oxide
Sammanfattning : Electrical transport properties of nanoparticle gold films made by the gas evaporation method were analysed using resistivity measurements. Low temperature electrical transport measurements showed a cross-over from a temperature range dominated by inelastic scattering to a temperature range dominated by elastic scattering, presumably by grain boundaries. 4. Microstructural Development of Nanocrystalline Ni- and Co-Based Materilas upon Annealing
Sammanfattning : Nanocrystalline materials are a relatively new group of materials that are constituted by crystals/grains of a few nanometers in size. Because their mechanical, physical and chemical properties are often superior compared to their microcrystalline counterparts, these materials are attractive for many industrial applications. LÄS MER
5. Cold spray Cr-coated Optimized ZIRLO claddings: an option for accident tolerant fuels
Sammanfattning : Accident tolerant fuel development has started with the aim of providing nuclear fuels able to endure severe accident conditions. Research in this field has also sparked a wave of material renewal in the nuclear industry that had being delayed for the last few decades. LÄS MER
