  1. 1. Using Observers for Model Based Data Collection in Distributed Tactical Operations

    Detta är en avhandling från Linköping : Linköping University Electronic Press

    Författare :Mirko Thorstensson; Linköpings universitet.; Linköpings universitet.; [2008]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Observers; model-based data collection; distributed tactical operations; taskforce training; communication analysis; reconstruction exploration; extended link analysis; timed checkpoints; network based observer tool; TECHNOLOGY Information technology Computer science; TEKNIKVETENSKAP Informationsteknik Datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Modern information technology increases the use of computers in training systems as well as in command-and-control systems in military services and public-safety organizations. This computerization combined with new threats present a challenging complexity. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Pose-invariant, model-based objectrecognition, using linear combination of viewsand Bayesian statistics

    Detta är en avhandling från Linköping : Linköping University Electronic Press

    Författare :Vasileios Zografos; [2009]

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents an in-depth study on the problem of object recognition, and in particular the detectionof 3-D objects in 2-D intensity images which may be viewed from a variety of angles. A solution to thisproblem remains elusive to this day, since it involves dealing with variations in geometry, photometryand viewing angle, noise, occlusions and incomplete data. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Multiple-Bit Errors in Computer Systems

    Detta är en avhandling från Chalmers University of Technology

    Författare :Rolf Johansson; Chalmers tekniska högskola.; Chalmers University of Technology.; [1997]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Informationsteknik; Information technology; multiple-bit errors; single event upsets; transient faults; fault modelling; fault sim ulation; physical fault injection; error-correcting codes; fault tolerance;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis discusses the types of transient faults caused by heavy-ion or a-particle radiation that manifest as multiple-bit errors and how information redundancy techniques can achieve fault tolerance with respect to some classes of multiple-bit errors. The first part of the thesis considers the fault modelling problem, beginning with the problem of how single event upsets (SEUs) originating from faults in register cells in microprocessors manifest as primary errors. 4. 4. On Discrete-Event Simulation and Integration in the Manufacturing System Development Process

    Detta är en avhandling från Division of Robotics, Lund University, P.O.Box 118, 221 00 Lund, Sweden

    Författare :Lars Randell; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2002]
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Automatiska system; control engineering; configuration management; discrete-event simulation; Production technology; Produktionsteknik; robotics; Automation; robotteknik; reglerteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Popular Abstract in Swedish Diskret händelsebaserad simulering av tillverkningssystem är sällan använd i utvecklingsprocessen av tillverkningssystem. Många gånger dras slutsatsen att analyser som involverar simulering i sig själv ger ökade kostnader. Detta synsätt är inte korrekt eftersom analyser måste göras ändå. LÄS MER

  5. 5. On Application Oriented Experiment Design for Closed-loop System Identification

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : Kungliga Tekniska högskolan

    Författare :Afrooz Ebadat; KTH.; [2015]
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; system identification; closed-loop identification; experiment design for identification;

    Sammanfattning : System identification concerns how to construct mathematical models of dynamic systems based on experimental data. A very important application of system identification is in model-based control design. In such applications it is often possible to externally excite the system during the data collection experiment. LÄS MER
