Sammanfattning : In children with juvenile chronic arthritis (JCA), disturbances of mandibular growth and function may result in involvement of the temporomandibular joints (TMJs). The aim of this thesis was to study the stomatognathic system in JCA children and long-term effects on facial growth of treatment comprising replacement of arthritic mandibular condyles with autogenous costochondral grafts (CCGs) during growth. 10. Surgical and neurological adverse effects of epilepsy surgery
Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis was to study surgical and neurological complications of preoperative invasive investigations and epilepsy surgery procedures (Papers I-II) and seizure worsening after epilepsy surgery (Paper III). A further aim was to improve reporting of adverse effects related to invasive investigations and epilepsy surgery by proposing and evaluating an evidence-based protocol for monitoring complications (Paper IV).
