    Författare :Dong Wang; Kálmán J. Szabó; Jianbo Wang; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; carbon-carbon bond formation; cross-coupling; organoboron compound; allylboron reagent; allylation; transition metal; metal carbene; allenylboron reagent; transition metal free; diazo compound; tosylhydrazone; quinone; organisk kemi; Organic Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : Organoboron compounds have been widely used in carbon-carbon bond formation reactions in organic synthesis and catalysis. This thesis is focused on cross-coupling reactions of allyl-, allenylboronic acids and their ester derivatives via transition metal catalysis or transition-metal-free processes. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Transition Metal Hydrides : Biomimetic Studies and Catalytic Applications

    Författare :Jesper Ekström; Hans Adolfsson; Jonathan Williams; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; transition metals; catalysis; bioinorganic chemistry; hydrides; Organic chemistry; Organisk kemi; Organic Chemistry; organisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, studies of the nature of different transition metal-hydride complexes are described. The first part deals with the enantioswitchable behaviour of rhodium complexes derived from amino acids, applied in asymmetric transfer hydrogenation of ketones. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Design and Synthesis of 11C-Labelled Compound Libraries for the Molecular Imaging of EGFr, VEGFr-2, AT1 and AT2 Receptors : Transition-Metal Mediated Carbonylations Using [11C]Carbon Monoxide

    Sammanfattning : This work deals with radiochemistry and new approaches to develop novel PET tracers labelled with the radionuclide 11C.Two methods for the synthesis of 11C-labelled acrylamides have been explored. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Transition metal- and lipase-catalyzed reactions : Dynamic resolutions, hydrogen transfer and enzyme engineering

    Författare :Patrik Krumlinde; Jan-Erling Bäckvall; Johannes G. de Vries; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Dynamic kinetic resolution; dynamic kinetic asymmetric transformation; hydrogen transfer; directed evolution; enzyme engineering; Organic chemistry; Organisk kemi; organisk kemi; Organic Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis mainly focuses on chemoenzymatic processes and can be divided into three parts: The first part of the thesis, chapters 2-4, is devoted to the development of combined ruthenium- and enzyme-catalyzed dynamic processes. In these processes the metal catalyst racemizes (epimerizes) the alcohol substrate via hydrogen transfer and the enzyme transforms the substrate into enantiomerically enriched product. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Transition metal-catalyzed allylic and vinylic functionalization : Method development and mechanistic investigations

    Författare :Johanna M. Larsson; Kálmán J. Szabó; Dennis G. Hall; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; palladium; copper; catalysis; Heck reaction; C-H functionalization; allylic substitution; silylation; borylation; trifluoromethylation; fluorination; mechanistic study; transition metal; alkene; allylic silane; allylic boronate; allylic fluoride; organisk kemi; Organic Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : The use of small molecule building blocks in, for example, pharmaceutical research and new material development, creates a need for new and improved organic synthesis methods. The use of transition metals as mediators and catalysts opens up new reaction pathways that have made the synthesis of completely new compounds possible as well as greatly improved the synthetic routes to known compounds.
