1. Anatomy and taxonomy of cetrarioid lichens
Detta är en avhandling från Systematic BotanySammanfattning : The anatomy of the cetrarioid lichens (Parmeliaceae) has been studied, and the taxonomy revised. Special attention has been paid to reproductive structures, in particular the asci and pycnoconidia. Two types of asci are recognized. The Cetraria type is narrowly clavate, bears an amyloid ring structure in the tholus, and has a small axial body. LÄS MER

3. The Nostoc Symbiont of Lichens : Diversity, Specificity and Cellular Modifications
Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis UpsaliensisSammanfattning : Cyanobacteria belonging to the genus Nostoc have the capacity to form symbiotic associations with a wide range of organisms. Diversity, specificity and cellular modifications of the symbiosis between Nostoc and fungi in the formation of lichens were investigated in this thesis. LÄS MER
4. Natural products from Bolivian plants
Detta är en avhandling från Department of Organic ChemistrySammanfattning : Bolivia has the most varied ecology in South America - the Amazonas rainforests, the dry forests of the Chaco, the mist forests, the punas and high Andean vegetation. Some general studies have been carried out on useful plants; traditional medicine has been practiced in parts of region for thousands of years, recognized and accepted for treatment of various diseases. 5. Biological growth on mineral façades
Detta är en avhandling från Div of Building Materials LTH, Lund universitySammanfattning : During the last years there has been reported considerable and rapid contamination on newly built rendered façades in Sweden due to biological growth. The problem is believed to occur mostly on façades of render applied on thermal insulation, but apart from this it is difficult to find clear relationships indication which façades might be infected.
