  1. 1. Influence of Internal Diffusional Limitations on the Performance of an Immobilized Enzyme in Organic Medium

    Författare :Raúl J Barros; Bioteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Biotechnology; internal diffusional; acetonitrile medium; Immobilized a-chymotrypsin; kinetically controlled peptide synthesis; Bioteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The influence of mass-transfer limitations on the performance of immobilized a-chymotrypsin operating in acetonitrile medium has been investigated. The enzyme was immobilized by deposition on various porous carrier materials such as celite, polyamides of different particle sizes, controlled-pore glasses, polypropylene or polyacrylamides. 2. 2. Microstructure model for Ti-6Al-4V used in simulation of additive manufacturing

    Författare :Corinne Charles Murgau; Lars-Erik Lindgren; Niklas Järvstråt; Robert Pederson; Sören Sjöström; Högskolan Väst; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Titanium alloy; Ti-6Al-4V; Welding; Metal deposition; Additive manufacturing; Wire feed; Finite Element Method; Microstructure model; Johnson-Mehl-Avrami- Kolmogorov; Thermally driven; Production Technology; Produktionsteknik; Manufacturing and materials engineering; Produktions- och materialteknik; Material Mechanics;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is devoted to microstructure modelling of Ti-6Al-4V. The microstructure and the mechanical properties of titanium alloys are highly dependent on the temperature history experienced by the material. The developed microstructure model accounts for thermaldriving forces and is applicable for general temperature histories. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Characterization and optimization of the in vitro motility assay for fundamental studies of myosin II

    Författare :Malin Persson; Alf Månsson; Carlo Reggiani; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Myosin II; skeletal muscle; actomyosin; in vitro motility assay; protein adsorption; cargo transportation; CapZ; cross-bridge cycle; inter-head cooperativity; processivity; Biomedical Sciences; Biomedicinsk vetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Myosin II is the molecular motor responsible for muscle contraction. It transforms the chemical energy in ATP into mechanical work while interacting with actin filaments in so called cross-bridge cycles. Myosin II or its proteolytic fragments e.g. LÄS MER
