  1. 1. Colour in Enclosed Space Observation of Colour Phenomena and Development of Methods for Identification of Colour Appearance in Rooms

    Författare :Monica Billger; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; identity colour; simultaneous contrast; illumination; reflections; colour; visual assessments; interiors; adaptation effects; full-scale studies; colour appearance;

    Sammanfattning : The main problems dealt with in this thesis are (1) how colours can appear in rooms due to various colour combinations and lighting conditions, and (2) how we can identify and compare colour appearance in rooms. One aim is to demonstrate and discuss the complex problem of how certain conditions in a room affect colour appearance, and to give examples and describe the co-operation between some of the affecting factors in experimental rooms. 2. 2. Rum utan utsikt : Fönster och ljus i medeltida byggnader

    Författare :Linda Qviström; Anders Andrén; Herman Bengtsson; Martin Hansson; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Archaeology; Medieval Archaeology; Post Medieval Archaeology; Windows; Medieval Buildings; Light Openings; Window Glass; View; Interiors; Darkness; Light; Lighting; Light Equipment; Arkeologi; historisk arkeologi; medeltida byggnader; fönster; ljusöppningar; fönsterglas; utsikt; inomhusmiljö; mörker; ljus; belysning; belysningsredskap; Uppland; Gotland; arkeologi; Archaeology;

    Sammanfattning : Windows, light and a view are self-evident parts of contemporary interiors. This was not the case in Scandinavia during the Middle Ages (c. 1050–1520 CE), when closed spaces without wall openings were standard. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Gas-sensors for Automobile Interiors

    Författare :Eva-Lotta Kalman; Haugen John-Erik; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : The concentration of pollutants in the car compartment air is influenced not only by neighboring vehicles, but also by pollutants originating from the car's interior trim materials. These pollutants may cause nuisance and even pose a safety risk as some condense on the windscreen and form an oily film that dims the screen. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Thermal Conductivity of Materials under Conditions of Planetary Interiors

    Författare :Zuzana Konôpková; Peter Lazor; Vitali Prakapenka; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; iron; high pressures-high temperatures; thermal conductivity; diamond anvil cell; laser-heating; planetary cores; Earth sciences; Geovetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : The presented thesis focuses on study of transport and thermoelastic properties of materials under conditions of planetary interiors by means of high-pressure experimental tools and finite element modeling, and their role in the dynamics and states of cores of terrestrial planets. Experiments in laser-heated diamond anvil cell (LHDAC) in combination with numerical simulations of heat transfer in DAC are shown to yield information on thermal conductivity of a pressurized sample. 5. 5. Klassicismens interiörer : Inredningskonst och arkitekturprofiler från Vitruvius till Tessin

    Författare :Stefan Günther; Johan Mårtelius; Fredric Bedoire; Ove Hidemark; Lars Karlsson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Architectural theory; Historiography; Architecture; Interior decoration; France; Italy; Sweden; 15th–17th centuries; Vitruvius; Columnar orders; Moulding; Classicism in Art; Design; Conservation; Restoration; Architecture and architectural conservation and restoration; Arkitektur och bebyggelsevård;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to describe and analyse the design and development of the classical interior detail and its theoretical background from its Italian origins through its development into a shared European style around 1700. It mainly presents a close study of some forty chosen interiors in Italy, France and Sweden dating from antiquity to the close of the seventeenth century. LÄS MER
