2. Aspects of oral implant technology and osseointegration
3. On Influence Of Undersized Implant Site On Implant Stability And Osseointegration
Sammanfattning : The use of dental implants for the rehabilitation of edentulous areas is an established treatment, showing high success rates. Primary stability is one of the pre-requisites for osseointegration, and it is ensured by the mechanical interlocking at the bone to implant interface. LÄS MER
4. Ridge alterations following tooth extraction and implant placement
Sammanfattning : The purpose of the present series of investigations was to study the healing following tooth extraction and implant placement. In an animal model, the healing sequence of tooth extraction sites (Study I), the influence of the periodontal ligament (PDL) on the healing of extraction sockets and the effect of various biomaterial on the healing of bone defects (Study II), and the healing of different bone block grafts placed on the surface of a narrow ridge (Study III) were investigated. 5. On bone quality and implant stability measurements
Sammanfattning : In conjuction with placement of oral implants, the jaw bone quality assessment is mainly based on quantitative radiographic measures and the subjective opinion of the performing surgeon. While the primary implant stability is discussed in terms of the pre-set motor torque and the subjective hand-felt perception during final tightening of implants, the secondary stability is defined as the absence of implant mobility.
