   Sammanfattning : The present study deals with the ideological role of Aram according to their representation in Genesis-2 Kings. This investigation shows that the functions and picture of Aram are more often positive than not. Genesis establishes the kinship between Aram and Israel, the patriarchs being obviously Arameans.    Sammanfattning : This study of the reception of the Gospels in modern fiction combines biblical studies with literary criticism. As a dissertation in the field of New Testament exegesis, the study attempts to establish a middle course between a postmodern (Anglo-American) cultural studies-approach, and a more classical (German) examination of the Bible’s evolving history of interpretation or Wirkungsgeschichte.
