Sammanfattning :
The aim of this study has been to investigate, through the narratives of ex-perienced teachers, insights and strategies in the teaching of history in upper secondary school. Based on a flexible grounded theory, life history and theories of pedagogical content knowledge, seven experienced history teachers have been interviewed about their conceptions of history teaching. Sammanfattning :
The aim of this thesis is to analyze the establishment and development of lectureships in the Swedish language in German universities during the first half of the 20th century. Building on earlier research about the role of language teaching abroad for public diplomacy, the study sees the lecturer as a part of both the the academic and political fields in Germany and Sweden. Swedish compulsory school has recently been subjected to a number of political reforms. Between 2011 and 2014, for example, earlier grades, more national tests and a new curriculum plan (Lgr 11) were to be implemented. This thesis aims to examine those changes as they were experienced by teachers who teach history in Swedish upper primary schools. LÄS MER

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate interculturality in history as an idea and practice. Two overarching research questions are raised, each concerning the theoretical and practical levels: How can history, as a field of knowledge and teaching, be related to intercultural learning as a normative practice? What obstacles and opportunities for teaching and learning emerge when intercultural historical learning is the goal? This thesis comprises four published studies. LÄS MER
