    Sammanfattning : In 1902, a Swedish professor at Shanxi University started to study the region’s geology and in 1913, he suggested to the Chinese Republican Government an expansion of these surveys nationwide. As a result, the Head of the Geological Survey of Sweden, J. G. Andersson, was employed as a geological adviser to the Chinese Government. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : What was the expertise of a naval officer during the 16th century? How did the naval officers’ expand, and what was the power relations like? These questions asked initially in the dissertation, try to capture the essence of the actual purpose, namely to investigate the development, power relations and the competence of a naval officer in the Swedish Navy during the 16th century (1522-1595).There was a correlated relationship between the military strategic choice of the operational area, naval tactical choices vessel types for customized naval warfare and the need for naval officers.     Sammanfattning : In the mid- to late 19th century, modern pipe-bound water and sewer systems proliferated in European cities, a development that has sometimes been regarded as a necessary result of a sanitary awakening and the progress of science and technology. By analyzing the introduction and subsequent expansion of water, sewerage, and excreta collection on the local level, in the Swedish cities Norrköping and Linköping, this oversimplified picture is questioned.
