    Sammanfattning : The aim of the dissertation is to study the distribution of literature as a means to disseminate knowledge in the context of two reading societies and three critical journals based in Uppsala and Åbo. This dissemination, regarded as a strategy towards social and political reform, took place in these societies and journals, which were geographically, biographically, intentionally and functionally connected.     Sammanfattning : This study explores the biography of spoils through analysing cases of cultural looting by Gustavus Adolphus and Carl Gustaf Wrangel during their seventeenth century military campaigns. Today, such artefacts are in general described as “war booty”, although this expression (“krigsbyte”) first occurred in the Swedish language in 1712. LÄS MER

This investigation focuses mainly on his network and career strategies and is based on various sources from a number of European archives and libraries, mainly those situated in Italy, Poland and Germany.     Sammanfattning : This dissertation deals with the question of why and how the issue of workers' education came to be part of both bourgeois and working class formation during the second half of the 19th century and how it contributed to the shaping of new social relations. The theoretical perspective is based on the concept of hegemony indicating that a leading class has to establish and maintain its leadership by gaining consensus from the ruled classes. LÄS MER
