  1. 1. Kalejdoskopiska rum : Diskurs, materialitet och praktik i den decentraliserade psykiatriska vården

    Författare :Ebba Högström; Göran Cars; Catharina Nord; Maria Håkansson; Lars-Henrik Ståhl; Catharina Dyrssen; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; heterogenous space; discourse; spatial practice; materiality; architectural geography; community mental healthcare; decentralisation; deinstitutionalisation; organisation and space; built environment; Sweden; heterogena rum; diskurs; rumslig praktik; materialitet; arkitekturgeografi; sektoriserad psykiatri; decentralisering; avinstitutionalisering; organsiation och rum; byggd miljö; Sverige;

    Sammanfattning : During the period 1967-1995, Swedish mental healthcare underwent a complete re-organisation, starting with county councils taking over responsibility for mental healthcare from the state. Asylums were then phased out and mental health care moved closer to patients. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Temporalitet i visuell kultur : Om samtidens heterokrona estetiker

    Författare :Ann-Louise Sandahl; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; temporality; heterochrony; chronoscopy; anthropocene; the long now; timescapes; space of flows; space of places; environmental humanities; temporalitet; heterokroni; kronoskopi; antropocen; det långa nuet; flödesrum; platsrum; miljöhumaniora; temporality; heterochrony; chronoscopy; anthropocene; the long now; timescapes; space of flows; space of places; environmental humanities.;

    Sammanfattning : In contemporary society temporalities in different scales coexist, cooperate and collide. Clock time serves as a main reference for time, although a lot of processes have nothing to do with clock time and can’t be measured by its scales. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Models for coupled active-passive population dynamics : Mathematical analysis and simulation

    Författare :Thi Kim Thoa Thieu; Adrian Muntean; Matteo Colangeli; Grigorios A. Pavliotis; Karlstads universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : In this dissertation, we study models for coupled active--passive pedestrian dynamics from mathematical analysis and simulation perspectives. The general aim is to contribute to a better understanding of complex pedestrian flows. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Flerspråkighetens gränser : språkdidaktik på (o)jämlik grund i migrationernas tid

    Författare :Andreas Nuottaniemi; Daniel Andersson; Carla Jonsson; Tommaso Milani; Hilde Sollid; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; multilingualism; ethnography; linguistic repertoires; investment; social justice; uneven mobility; social space; stopped bodies; white listening subject; language teaching and learning; språkdidaktik;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to critically examine opportunities and obstacles to develop teaching in Swedish as a second language on equal ground. This is done by ethnographically exploring a group of students’ and their teachers’ lived experiences of language and teaching practices in a school and society in northern Sweden’s peripheralized interior. 5. 5. Multiscale Stochastic Simulation of Reaction-Transport Processes : Applications in Molecular Systems Biology

    Författare :Andreas Hellander; Per Lötstedt; Sverker Holmgren; Samuel Isaacson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; stochastic simulation; chemical master equation; reaction-diffusion master equation; unstructured mesh; active transport; hybrid methods; URDME; Scientific Computing; Beräkningsvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Quantitative descriptions of reaction kinetics formulated at the stochastic mesoscopic level are frequently used to study various aspects of regulation and control in models of cellular control systems. For this type of systems, numerical simulation offers a variety of challenges caused by the high dimensionality of the problem and the multiscale properties often displayed by the biochemical model.
