  1. 1. Regeneration in periodontal and endosseous implant treatment

    Författare :Lisa Mayfield; Lunds universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Odontology; guided tissue regeneration; Pressure sensitive periodontal probe; intraosseous defects; guided bone regeneration; EDTA root surface conditioning; bioabsorbable membrane; stomatology; Odontologi;

    Sammanfattning : In a series of clinical studies regenerative procedures for periodontal disease treatment were evaluated. A reproducibility study of probing measurements using a manual periodontal probe and 3 pressure-sensitive probes showed that measurements obtained using the manual probe were the most repeatable. 2. 2. In vitro and in vivo studies of tissue engineering in reconstructive plastic surgery

    Författare :Fredrik R.M. Huss; Gunnar Kratz; Elof Eriksson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Tissue engineering; plastic surgery; guided tissue regeneration; Plastic surgery; Plastikkirurgi; Plastikkirurgi;

    Sammanfattning : To correct, improve, and maintain tissues, and their functions, are common denominators in tissue engineering and reconstructive plastic surgery. This can be achieved by using autolo-gous tissues as in flaps or transplants. However, often autologous tissue is not useable. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Guided Regeneration of the Human Skin : in vitro and in vivo studies

    Författare :Erika Nyman; Gunnar Kratz; Fredrik Huss; Joakim Henricson; Lars B. Dahlin; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Every day and in all parts of the world, humans experience different grades of wounding and tissue loss of the skin, thus initiating one of the most complex biological processes. Acute and chronic wounds, as well as the additional problem of skin scarring, involve not only great suffering for the patient but also extensive health care costs for the society. LÄS MER

  4. 4. On the biological behavior of barrier membranes: implications for Guided Bone Regeneration. Clinical and Experimental studies

    Författare :Alberto Turri; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Guided Bone Regeneration; Membranes;

    Sammanfattning : There is a continuous development of bone augmentation solutions to meet the rising demand for effective dental implant rehabilitations. One of the most used techniques is Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR). LÄS MER

  5. 5. Long-gap esophageal atresia - The development of an experimental model of esophageal regeneration in vivo as an attempt to improve clinical outcome

    Författare :Linus Jönsson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Long-gap esophageal atresia; Follow-up; guided tissue regeneration; small intestinal submucosa; pulmonary physiology; esophageal replacement; extracellular matrix; macrophage phenotype;

    Sammanfattning : Background: A subset (~8-15%) of the patients born with esophageal atresia (EA) suffer from a lack of esophageal tissue, which makes a primary anastomosis difficult to achieve. This is most common in patients born without a distal fistula between the trachea and the distal esophageal segment. LÄS MER
