2. Identification and tuning of algorithmic parameters in parallel matrix computations : Hessenberg reduction and tensor storage format conversion
Sammanfattning : This thesis considers two problems in numerical linear algebra and high performance computing (HPC): (i) the parallelization of a new blocked Hessenberg reduction algorithm using Parallel Cache Assignment (PCA) and the tunability of its algorithm parameters, and (ii) storing and manipulating dense tensors on shared memory HPC systems. The Hessenberg reduction appears in the Aggressive Early Deflation (AED) process for identifying converged eigenvalues in the distributed multishift QR algorithm (state-of-the-art algorithm for computing all eigenvalues for dense square matrices). 3. Group supervision : learning psychotherapy in a small group format
Sammanfattning : Group supervision in psychotherapy is today, in Sweden as well as internationally, a common form of supervision. Nevertheless, few systematic studies have been carried out in this field. There is an increasing demand for a more thorough understanding of the specific factors involved in group supervision. 4. On Numerical Descriptions of Road Transport Missions
Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses some issues of current interest in energy consumption prediction through simulation. First, we review the situation for rating, regulation and legislation of CO$_2$-emissions for cars and heavy vehicles. LÄS MER
5. Operating cycle representations for road vehicles
Sammanfattning : This thesis discusses different ways to represent road transport operations mathematically. The intention is to make more realistic predictions of longitudinal performance measures for road vehicles, such as the CO2 emissions. LÄS MER
