    Författare :Tanai Cardona; Ann Magnuson; Matthias Rögner; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Nostoc punctiforme; heterocyst; photosynthesis; thylakoid; isolation; proteomics; photosystem; energy transfer; hydrogen; Biochemistry; Biokemi; biokemi; Biochemistry;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to provide a thorough characterization of the photosynthetic machinery from the heterocysts of Nostoc punctiforme strain ATCC 29133. In this thesis I describe the protocols I have optimized for the isolation of thylakoids from vegetative cells, the purification of heterocysts and the isolation of thylakoids from the purified heterocysts. Författare :Stanislav Kalinin; Lennart B.-Å. Johansson; Helge Lemmetyinen; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Physical chemistry; fluorescence resonance energy transfer FRET ; donor-donor energy migration DDEM ; homotransfer; fluorescence relaxation; lifetimes; time-resolved fluorescence anisotropy; time-correlated single photon counting; distance measurements; protein structure; Fysikalisk kemi; Physical chemistry; Fysikalisk kemi; Physical Chemistry; fysikalisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : A kinetic model of electronic energy migration within pairs of photophysically non-identical fluorophores has been developed. The model applies to fluorescent groups that exhibit different photophysical and spectral properties when attached to different positions in a macromolecule. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : A continuing use of fossil fuels will accelerate global warning and result in severe consequences for the environment and thereby also us. Development of alternative, sustainable and environmentally friendly energy sources is therefore crucial. One approach is to create an artificial photosynthetic system that converts sunshine into fuel (e.g. LÄS MER
