  1. 1. Strategies for improving kraftliner pulp properties

    Författare :Stefan Antonsson; Mikael E. Lindström; Gunnar Henriksson; Mats Johansson; Hans Theliander; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; lignin; xylan; kraftliner pulp; mechano-sorptive creep; hygroexpansion; stiffness; fibre shape; fibre width; lignin; xylan; kraftlinermassa; mekanosorptivt kryp; hygroexpansion; styvhet; fiberform; fiberbredd; Cellulose and paper engineering; Cellulosa- och pappersteknik;

    Sammanfattning : A large part of the world paper manufacturing consists of production of corrugated board components, kraftliner and fluting, that are used in many different types of corrugated boxes. Because these boxes are stored and transported, they are often subjected to changes in relative humidity. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Distributions Of Fiber Characteristics As A Tool To Evaluate Mechanical Pulps

    Författare :Sofia Reyier Österling; Per Engstrand; Hans Höglund; Olof Ferritsius; Rita Ferritsius; Hans Ersson; Per Gradin; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Fiber; fibre; fiber characteristics; fiber dimension; fiber properties; mechanical pulp; FiberLab; raw data; distribution; fiber wall thickness; BIN; bonding ability influence; bonding indicator; bonding ability; fiber width; fibrillation; collapse resistance; laboratory sheet; fiber analyzer; optical analyzer; TMP; CTMP; SGW; sheet model; prediction; fiber characterization; hydrocyclone; fractionation; kernel density estimation; KDE; diffusion mixing; acoustic emission; F0.90; Norway spruce; Picea abies;

    Sammanfattning : Mechanical pulps are used in paper products such as magazine or news grade printing papers or paperboard. Mechanical pulping gives a high yield; nearly everything in the tree except the bark is used in the paper. This means that mechanical pulping consumes much less wood than chemical pulping, especially to produce a unit area of printing surface. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Chloride Induced Corrosion of Steel Bars in Fibre Reinforced Concrete

    Författare :Carlos Gil Berrocal; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; electrical resistivity; chloride ingress; fibre reinforced concrete; crack width; reinforced concrete durability; chloride-induced corrosion;

    Sammanfattning : Chloride-induced corrosion of reinforcement is the most widespread degradation mechanism affecting the durability of reinforced concrete structures. Macro-cracks provide a preferential path for moisture, oxygen and Cl ions to reach the embedded reinforcement, playing a major role in their total transport. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Fibres in reinforced concrete structures - analysis, experiments and design

    Författare :Anette M Jansson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; crack width; stress crack-width relationship; design methods; post cracking; analysis method; Fibre-reinforced concrete;

    Sammanfattning : Potential benefits from fibres in concrete are improved crack control and the possibility of more slender structures. The extent of the crack control depends, among other factors, on the amount of fibres added, and plays a great role for durability. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Steel fibre corrosion in cracks : durability of sprayed concrete

    Författare :Erik Nordström; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Structural Engineering; Konstruktionsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Steel fibre reinforced sprayed concrete is common practice for permanent linings in underground construction. Today there is a demand on "expected technical service life" of 120 years. Thin steel fibres could be expected to discontinue carrying load fast with a decrease of fibre diameter caused by corrosion, especially in cracks. LÄS MER
