  1. 1. Viscosity and boiling point elevation of black liquor from the lignin extraction process and the modification of extracted lignin

    Författare :Ali Seid Moosavifar; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Boiling point elevation; viscosity; Lignin precipitation; Black liquor; black liquor properties; evaporation characteristic; combustion of lignin; Lignin; calcium addition to lignin; alkalisation of black liquor; lignin modification; lignin fuel;

  2. 2. Soil Management Strategies to Establish Vegetation and Groundwater Recharge when Restoring Gravel Pits

    Författare :Karin Palmqvist Larsson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :groundwater protection; soil physical properties; CoupModel; unsaturated conductivity; water retention; transpiration; soil evaporation;

    Sammanfattning : The removal of vegetation and overburden changes the naturalwater purifying processes and thus decreases the groundwaterprotection in gravel pit areas. The sand and gravel depositsusedfor aggregate extraction in Sweden are also often valuablefor extraction of groundwater as a drinking water resource. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Water, Heat and Solute processes in Seasonally frozen Soils : Experimental and Modeling Study

    Författare :Mousong Wu; Per-Erik Jansson; Jiesheng Huang; Klas Hansson; David Gustafsson; Nicholas Jarvis; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; frozen soil; water-heat-solute transport; coupled effects; water and energy balance; uncertainties; 冻土;水热盐运移;耦合关系;水热平衡;不确定性; Mark- och vattenteknik; Land and Water Resources Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Soil freezing and thawing is of importance in transport of water, heat and solute, which has coupled effects. Solute type and solute content in frozen soil could influence the osmotic potential of frozen soil and decrease freezing point, resulting in differences in soil freezing characteristic curves under various solute conditions. 4. 4. Atom Probe Tomography of Hard Nitride and Boride Thin Films

    Författare :David L. J. Engberg; Lars Hultman; Magnus Odén; Guido Schmitz; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Materials science; Atom probe tomography APT ; Ceramics; Nitrides; Borides;

    Sammanfattning : Hard ceramic thin films, including TiSiN, ZrAlN, ZrB2, and ZrTaB2, with applications for wear-resistant coatings, have been studied using atom probe tomography and correlated with several other analytical techniques, including X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, and elastic recoil detection analysis. Outstanding obstacles for quantitative atom probe tomography of ceramic thin films have been surmounted. LÄS MER

  5. 5. The influence of SO2 on the high temperature corrosion of Fe and Fe-Cr alloys

    Författare :Anders Järdnäs; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; iron; H2O; high temperature corrosion; Fe-2.25Cr-1Mo steel; SO2; 304L; oxidation;

    Sammanfattning : Sulfur dioxide is an important pollutant in combustion gases and plays a major role in the high temperature corrosion of many metals and alloys. This work investigates the influence of small amounts of SO2 on the high temperature corrosion of iron, chromium and several Fe-Cr alloys. LÄS MER
