  1. 16. Studies of optical properties of lanthanide upconversion nanoparticles for emerging applications

    Författare :Qingyun Liu; Hans Ågren; Haichun Liu; Patricia Haro Gonzalez; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Upconversion nanoparticles; solar cells sensitization; near infrared photodetector; multiplex imaging; optical encoding; information technology; bioimaging; rate equation models; Theoretical Chemistry and Biology; Teoretisk kemi och biologi;

    Sammanfattning : YTTERBY, a small village very close to Stockholm where I live, is the place in the world which has lent its name to the largest number of elements in the periodic table, namely four - YTTRIUM, YTTERBIUM, ERBIUM and TERBIUM. Three more lanthanide elements were discovered from the now empty quarry located in this village. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Nuclear Intonation in Swedish : Evidence from Experimental-Phonetic Studies and a Comparison with German

    Författare :Gilbert Ambrazaitis; Fonetik; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; parallel encoding; contrastive topic; new information; given information; focus; information structure; pragmatics; nucleus; sentence accent; prosody; word accent; F0; early peak; perception; reaction time;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates Swedish intonation patterns and their interaction with word accent realisation in various pragmatic conditions, using German as a reference language. The point of departure is the wide-spread assumption that Swedish, as a language with a tonal word accent distinction, has a considerably smaller repertoire of nuclear intonation contours than German and other so-called intonation languages. 3. 18. Frequency Recognition Algorithm for Multiple Exposures : Snapshot imaging using coded light

    Författare :Karolina Dorozynska; Förbränningsfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Snapshot imaging; structured illumination; structured light; multispectral; fluorescence; frequency encoding; image multiplexing; lock-in detection; Fysicumarkivet A:2020:Dorozynska;

    Sammanfattning : The central challenge tackled in this thesis is the development of an optical imaging approach capable of multidimensional image capture of dynamic samples. Many conventional optical imaging approaches, which can obtain dimensional information such as spectral, polarisation, or volumetric, to name a few, about samples either employ sequential image capture or parallelised detector arrangements. 4. 19. Klasstolkningar : En receptionsanalys av hur klassaspekter uppfattas i Tre kärlekar, Falcon Crest och TV-nyheter

    Författare :Sven Ross; Madeleine Kleberg; Bo Reimer; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; class; ideology; television; reception; encoding decoding; schema; cognitive centrality; news; Falcon Crest; Tre kärlekar; Media and communication studies; Medie- och kommunikationsvetenskap; Communication Studies; medie- och kommunikationsvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this study is to analyze if and how Swedish television viewers perceive the social class position of characters and persons in different kinds of television fiction and news. The results are related to theories of class, ideology, reception and social cognition. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Temporal and spatial dynamics in subarctic peat plateaus and thermokarst lakes

    Författare :A. Britta K. Sannel; Peter Kuhry; Peter Jansson; Ian A. Brown; Serge Payette; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Peatlands; permafrost; subarctic; peat plateau; thermokarst lake; macrofossil analysis; carbon nitrogen ratio; peat accumulation; carbon accumulation; remote sensing; binary encoding; time-series analysis; Physical Geography; naturgeografi;

    Sammanfattning : Permafrost peatlands are widespread at high northern latitudes and are important soil organic carbon reservoirs. A future warming in these areas, as suggested by global climate models, can cause thawing and increased ground subsidence (thermokarst), resulting in changes in surface hydrology and ecosystem functioning.
