6. Thermoelectric- and hot-electron effects in graphene devices
Sammanfattning : A technology of encapsulation of graphene in Parylene was introducedas an alternative to encapsulating graphene in hBN. Edge contacts to theencapsulated graphene in this case showed resistivity down to 14 Ohm um,which is the lowest reported value so far. LÄS MER
7. Ethanol production from lignocellulose using high local cell density yeast cultures. Investigations of flocculating and encapsulated Saccharomyces cerevisiae
Sammanfattning : Efforts are made to change from 1st to 2nd generation bioethanol production, using lignocellulosics as raw materials rather than using raw materials that alternatively can be used as food sources. An issue with lignocellulosics is that a harsh pretreatment step is required in the process of converting them into fermentable sugars. LÄS MER
8. Functional and Flexible Light-Emitting Electrochemical Cells
Sammanfattning : The introduction of artificial illumination has brought extensive benefits to mankind, and during the last years we have seen a tremendous progress in this field with the introduction of the energy-efficient light-emitting diode (LED) and the high-contrast organic LED display. These high-end technologies are, however, produced using costly and complex processes, and it is anticipated that the next big thing in the field will be the advent of a low-cost and “green” illumination technology, which can be fabricated in a cost- and material-efficient manner using non-toxic and abundant raw materials, and which features attractive form factors such as flexibility, robustness and light-weight. 9. Reliability and applications of adhesives for microsystem packaging
Sammanfattning : The electronics industry is one of the most dynamic, fascinating and important industries. Polymeric adhesives are widely used in electronics packaging and play a critical role. LÄS MER
10. Aroma components in Vangueria infausta L. : Characterization of components using GC_MS and aroma loss during drying
Sammanfattning : This study focuses on the fruit of the African medlar (Vangueria infausta L., family Rubiaceae). The investigation included the development of an extraction procedure of volatile components from the fruit matrix, a purification step, separation, identification and quantification. LÄS MER
