    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, the electron impact dissociation of molecular ions has been studied using the ion storage ring CRYRING at Manne Siegbahn Laboratory in Stockholm, Sweden.     Sammanfattning : This Thesis describes the development and characterization of a soft x-ray liquidjet-anode electron-impact source. With a water-jet target the primary emission is the O Kα line at 525 eV. This is close to the lower edge of the water-window, a spectral region lacking simple laboratory sources. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This Thesis describes the development of an electron-impact microfocus x-ray source and its application for phase-contrast imaging. The source is based on a novel, liquid-jet target concept.     Sammanfattning : The electron-ion recombination and electron-impact ionization of several astrophysically abundant C, N, O, and Ni ions have been investigated using the synchrotron storage ring CRYRING. The recombination rate coefficients predominanty used in the analyses of emission line spectra and for ionization balance calculations are determined from isoelectronic fits and extrapolations of theoretical and limited experimental results available from the literature.
