    Sammanfattning : In the broad field of the economic impact of tourism and events, most studies seek to understand regional tourism development by only focusing on a growth-oriented perspective and highly aggregated indicators, such as increases in GDP. Such a narrow view, however, systematically overlooks and disregards the negative socio-economic consequences that accompany economic growth, such as income inequality and precarious working conditions.     Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses the problems of social violence which are based on stereotyped prejudices, and directed towards people who differ from the norm, and asks how education aiming at counteracting social violence can be understood.
