  1. 16. Fatigue life prediction of additively manufactured ductile nickel-based superalloys : Constitutive and crack initiation modelling

    Författare :Thomas Lindström; Daniel Leidermark; Kjell Simonsson; Robert Eriksson; Magnus Ekh; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Additive manufacturing; Low-cycle fatigue; Thermomechanical fatigue; Constitutive modelling; Anisotropy;

    Sammanfattning : This dissertation was produced at the Division of Solid Mechanics at Linköping University, and is the final result of a project that included mechanical testing and modelling of an additively manufactured ductile nickel-based superalloy.The main objective of the work presented in this thesis was to investigate and model the cyclic behaviour and the fatigue life behaviour of an additively manufactured ductile nickel-based superalloy, with emphasis on modelling the stabilised material behaviour, by which fatigue life predictions can be based upon. 2. 17. Continuum modelling of the mechanical response of paper-based materials

    Författare :Eric Borgqvist; Hållfasthetslära; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; paperboard; constitutive modeling; anistropy; finte deformations; plasticity; damage; continuum mechanics;

    Sammanfattning : Continuum based elasto-plastic-damage models for paperboard have been established in this work. The thesis begins with an introductory section that describes the mechanical properties of paperboard and some of the converting processes during forming of a package. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Modeling of material behavior in metal forming

    Författare :Håkan Hallberg; Hållfasthetslära; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : With an increasing demand to improve efficiency and to cut costs, the industry is constantly seeking to reduce the time and money spent in product development and manufacturing. Use of computer-based simulations has become more or less a standard tool to meet this demand. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Modelling the viscoplastic properties of carbon black filled rubber : A finite strain material model suitable for Finite Element Analysis

    Författare :Rickard Österlöf; Leif Kari; Alan Muhr; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; reinforcing fillers; rubber; finite strain; viscoplastic; förstärkande fyllmedel; gummi; finita töjningar; viskoplastisk; Vehicle and Maritime Engineering; Farkostteknik;

    Sammanfattning : An increased environmental awareness, legal demands and the large part of total costs attributable to fuel cost are all incentives for the automotive industry to reduce fuel consumption. The optimal driveline to enable this reduction depends on the operational conditions and the available infrastructure. LÄS MER

  5. 20. DEM Modelling of Unbound Granular Materials for Transport Infrastructures : On soil fabric and rockfill embankments

    Författare :Ricardo de Frias Lopez; Johan Silfwerbrand; Leena Korkiala-Tanttu; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Discrete element method; granular materials; particle-scale behaviour; particle degradation; permanent deformation; resilient modulus; rockfill embankment; soil fabric; Diskreta elementmetoden; grusmaterial; verkningssätt på partikelnivå; nedbrytning; permanent deformation; styvhet; stenfylld bank; skelettstruktur; Transport Infrastructure; Transportinfrastruktur;

    Sammanfattning : Unbound granular materials (UGM) are widely used as load-bearing layers and for embankment construction within transport infrastructures. These play a significant role on operation and maintenance of transportation systems. However, pavement and railway engineering still today rely heavily on empirical models based on macroscopic observations. LÄS MER
