26. Intracellular vesicles induced by monotopic membrane protein in Escherichia coli
Sammanfattning : The monotopic membrane protein alMGS, a glycosyltransferase catalyzing glucolipid synthesis in Acholeplasma laidlawii, was overexpressed in Escherichia coli. Optimization of basic growth parameters was performed, and a novel method for detergent and buffer screening using a small size-exclusion chromatography was developed. LÄS MER
27. Development of a targeted Drug Delivery System for treatment of Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinom
Sammanfattning : Pancreatic cancer is the fourth leading cause of cancer-related death with a 5-year survival of less than 6%. The only potential cure for pancreatic cancer is by surgical removal of the tumor. However, most patients present with an advanced and metastasized disease at the time of diagnosis, leaving only around 15% of patients eligible for surgery. LÄS MER
28. NMR studies of complex fluids and solids formed by surfactants
Sammanfattning : NMR methods have been designed and employed in studying ofcomplex liquids and solids formed by surfactants. PGSE NMRexperiments are easily biased by convection; this artifact canbe avoided by changing the sample holder and by usingconvection-compensated pulse sequences. LÄS MER
29. On the interaction between wort protein and iso-humulone : A study of surface rheology, interfacial structures and particle formation with the relevance to beer foam
Sammanfattning : Beer is one of the most popular drinks in the world. Foam is a unique characteristic of beer, contributing to mouthfeelings and visual perceptions. Therefore, it would be worthwhile to study the solution and interfacial properties ofbeer and assess them with regards to foam. LÄS MER
30. Lipid-based liquid crystals as drug delivery vehicles for antimicrobial peptides
Sammanfattning : The development of antimicrobial resistance is a great challenge within the health sector around the world. The demand for new efficient treatments is alarming in order to treat various bacterial infections in the near future. Antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) are a group of novel antibiotics that have gain more and more attraction the past decade. LÄS MER
